SmartShutter™
SmartShutter™ is a dynamic aperture system Mitsubishi developed specifically for the family of LCD MicroDisplay products. It dramatically improves black levels and provides many dark shades of gray to an extent not possible in LCD projection TVs until now. Poor black levels in LCD projection TVs is mainly caused by light leaking through or past the LCDs and eventually onto the screen. SmartShutter™ addresses this by reducing the total amount of light that reaches the LCDs during dark scenes and thereby also reducing the amount of light leakage. During bright scenes, SmartShutter™ allows all of the light to pass, providing full brightness. Sophisticated Mitsubishi circuitry analyzes the picture and precisely controls SmartShutter™ as it adjusts to the demands of the picture.

Plush720p™
Analog TV signals need to be scaled to widescreen proportions (16:9) in order to fill an HDTV screen.  They also need to be de-interlaced and upconverted from 480i to HDTV resolution. Plush720p™ technology scales and upconverts these analog TV signals with precision. It uses proprietary algorithms developed in Mitsubishi's R&D labs that compensate for frame rate and 3:2 pulldown, resulting in SD images that approach the clarity of true HDTV, especially when the sources are DVDs, digital cable and digital satellite signals.

PerfectColor™
PerfectColor™ is an exclusive Mitsubishi feature that gives your customer the ability to adjust the intensity of six separate colors independently of each other and separately for every input. PerfectColor™ is a full color matrix, much more powerful than a conventional color intensity control with red versus green color balance.
